Woot, just got back from three days of awesomeful anime insanity at AnimeNext. It was my first time staying overnight, second time at a con, and like twentieth time cosplaying. My friends and I had three groups we went in: my group, Nani's group, and Mercy's group. So, we got to hang out with each other too.^^ I went as Deidara for all three days. Woot for being able to cosplay as your second favorite character! <3

We got there around 8:00pm on Friday. I'm happy that I decided to wear my costume down, I probably would have been too lazy to change in to it once we got there. We ran into the same Evil Jesus that we saw there last year. He told us that he goes every year, so yeah. Saw a Jack Sparrow cosplayer right away too, as well as a Kakashi. XD, we kept randomly running into that same exact Kakashi throughout the whole con, it was so funny!

So, the Dealer's Room was already closed when we got there, which sucked, but we were in time to see Rentrer en Soi preform. They are an insanely awesome band. Seriously, go listen to their stuf fon youtube, they rock.

We woke up early Saturday. Six of us (well, really it was only four) had to be ready by 10:30 to meet our friends. It wa sfun getting ready though, cause we had this closet we were using to change in. We're obsessed with Narnia and searching for it, so we kept making all of these jokes about it and the closet ("Bye guys! I'm going to go change in Narnia!" *two minutes later* "HOLY CRAP! Mr. Tumnus tried to eat me!") My favorite memory happened on the way to meet them though. prowlingmoon (who was cosplaying as Temari) and I linked arms and skipped down the road, right next to the line of people waiting to get passes. XD, they cheered! And then there was one random guy who yelled, "That's not very Akatsuki!" at me. XD, no it's not, though I can actually picture Deidara skipping in my mind...

We met up with our friends, and promptly went different ways. We ran into another Deidara cosplayer who wanted a hug. It was really funny then, cause people were just like, "Hey look! Deidara is hugging Deidara!" We headed to the Dealer's Room and Artist's Alley then. I gots lots of cool stuffs. I got a big Ulquiorra plush (*squee*). It's so unbelieveably huggable. I got an insanely awesome poster with Gaara and Deidara on it then (Woot, my two favorite characters on one poster! ). I also got a Deidara plush, Renji shirt, and my mom bought a bag full of pocky (oh, and DansuKage, we got you that Uryu plush you wanted. I'm afraid that we couldn't find him in his quincy outfit though, so we got you one of him in his school uniform thing).

I got some cool stuff at the Artist's Alley too. I got a Gaara cell phone charm, Ulquiorra cel phone charm, shirtless Gaara keychain (*nosebleed*), another Gaara keychain, two different Sasori and Deidara keychains, Deidara keychain, Deidara drawing, Gaara drawing, Gaara and Naruto drawing, Akatsuki pin, chibi dragon pic, and a pin that says 'I lost The Game' (Speaking of which, I just lost. Anyways, everyone is always playing The Game, but not everyone has knowlegde of it. Now that I have told you, you now have the knowlegde that you are playing The Game. When you think of it, you lose. When you lose, you must explain The Game to all present. After losing The Game, you have fifteen to thirty minutes to forget about it before you can lose again. You get points by dieing, which basically means that you cannot win The Game).

We went to the field for a little bit then. There was an Akatsuki photoshoot, which I got to be part of. Sadly, I got no pictures, so I have to go look for some on photobucket or for a slideshow on youtube later. At the end of the photoshoot, we had these streamer things that we pulled. OMG, confettii went everwhere. And then we promptly ran out screaming into the middle of the field and ninja'd everyone. It was so insanely awesome! And, as the Pein cosplayer I was standing next to said, "We are so screwed if this doesn't end up on youtube..."

After the photoshoot, my friends and I all went into the middle of the field and screamed, "I LOST THE GAME!" We weren't sure we would get any responses but we did. Most people were just like, "What?", but a few were like, "NO!!! Now I lost!". I love The Game.^^

My dream ended up coming true though! I had wanted to dance to "Carameldansen" while at the con, but I didn't have a boombox, and never burned a cd with it on, so I had givin up hope of being able to do it when, someone started playing it on their boombox! XD, everyone started dancing to it. I seriously need to go find that on youtube, cause I know for a fact that people were recording it.

I also managed to get pictures with almost all of the Akatsuki. I only missed Kakuzu and Zetsu (why does no one ever cosplay as them? T_T). This is my favorite picture though: Link
OMG, that Sasori was so cute... It was funny though, cause we went in the shade to get the picture (you try standing out in the sun while wearing an Akatsuki uniform, it's hot). A yaoi fangirl saw us and followed, and kept begging the Sasori cosplayer to propose. We were both just like, "Absolutely not!"

We went back to the hotel room for a little bit then. We looked out the window at one point, and saw our friends were down in the field, and called them. XD, we got them, plus an L and Zuko cosplayer they were with, to wave at us. We went down to hang with them then. So we hung with them, and a few other cosplayers they were with. It was chaotic, mainly due to the Yuri and Yaoi paddles they had. I only got hit once, thankfully (dude, those things hurt!). That poor L though, they kept chasing him with the paddles. XD, he kept using me as a butguard then. But then, he ended up getting both of the paddles and chasing everyone who kept trying to hit him! XD, it was so funny!

Then a Sasuke cosplayer came a hung with us. A funny thing happened then though. I asked for a hug, and I ended up getting picked up. XD, I started freaking out. Must of freaked him out too, cause he was like, "You okay?" and I was just like, "... Uh... maybe?". XD, a Sasuke cosplayer willing to do yaoi pics. My one friend told me she got a picture; I need to get it from her.

We went and got dinner, and then went back to the field. So, we're standing there, when all of a sudden people start yelling, "OMG, it's God!". XD, it was a Sephiroth cosplayer. It was so funny.

They had an anime dance too that night that we went to, which ended up being my first dance (dude, how awesome is it that my first dance was at an anime con and that I got to wear cosplay to it?). XD, it was a rave. Insane? Probably. Fun? Oh, heck yes!

I wanted to go dance with a Sasori, but the only one I could find was already dancing with another Deidara. Figures that, as we were leaving, another Sasori was walking in. That wasn't cool...

Sunday came along, and we went back to the Artist's Alley one last time and watched cosplay chess. It was funny.^^

So, I had an insanely awesome time. Cosplaying as my second favorite character for three straight days rocked (and by doing so, I got glomped by just about every Sasori there, plus an Itachi, Deidara, and a few other random peoples). OMG, I can't wait for next year's!
